From peaceful to adventurous, Brazil's beaches have something for everyone. Under majestic coconut palms and under a bright blue sky, you can enjoy both relaxation and activity.
The coast of Brazil stretches over about 8,000 km of sandy beach. In this land of skimpy bikinis and ice-cold Caipirinhas, you can discover over 2,000 beaches and bays. Additionally, it is home
to perhaps the most famous beach in the world, Copacabana. If you reduce Brazil's beaches to the glamorous Copacabana, you'll miss out on a lot. According to the "Travellers’ Choice Awards," the
most beautiful beach in the world is the bay "Baía do Sancho." It is located in the island paradise of Fernando de Noronha, 350 km from Recife.
Most Brazilians agree that the most beautiful beaches are in the northeast of the country. My personal favourite is Praia dos Carneiros in Tamandaré!
